Recasting Sweeney Todd as a clown in the tradition of Buster Keaton and Charlie Chaplin, Sweeney Todd is an hilarious black comedy - combining slap stick humour, grotesque characters, physical storytelling and live cabaret music.
Working with an international team of puppeteers and performers, Finger in the Pie Theatre Company have devised a brand new version of the classic Sweeney Todd myth. We have combined an aesthetic of the grotesque with physical storytelling, puppetry and live music to bring to life the seething underworld of Eighteenth Century London.
